Effective Time Management: Tips To Reduce Stress And Increase Your Productivity
59“Quit working – plug in and plug out”.
“Quit working – plug in and plug out”.
This is a quote. I heard it from Mark Hoverson in his Leadership Branding Training Course when he was talking about 13 steps to boost productivity. I would like to refer to time and stress management today.
All online marketers and entrepreneurs are doing (more or less) time management but that somebody tells us to quit working in order to increment productivity sounded strange to me. That was a new time management idea.
I am a fan of effective time management, mainly because I do not have any time to give away. I bet you know what I am talking about: Long working hours, a stress job, part-time online marketing … a private life as well, mainly at the weekends, require effective time management skills.
So here are the productivity tips and tools:
1. Batch your energy: When you get up, plug in and start collecting energy for day, get inspiration from real masters of your business. Read or listen to masterminds like Jim Rohn, Robert Kiyosaki, Napoleon Hill, Tony Robbins and so on. Fill up your mind in order to get productive. Breathe oxygen, go for a little walk, jog – move 20 minutes just to get productive and to enjoy being outside.

2. Batch your productivity: After collecting energy start being productive, write a hub, an ezine article, do a video – convert what you have been listening to or reading into creativity and create value for your business.
Do not wait, do it directly. Value comes first and value comes better when you are inspired.
Do a little bit of studying every day. There must be things of your business area you do not know yet, to build up a website or a blog, to do a video, to write a good article, to create a lead capture page, some technical milestone you did not reach yet. It is a step forward.
3. Batch your email. Emails are not productive. Think about an email autoresponder if you have a lot of incoming emails. The autoresponder will give a direct response to anyone who calls and can direct the callers to the next milestone, like your website or blog.
4. Batch your phone calls. Phone calls are not productive either and think about an answering machine to redirect your callers to your website or an webinar you are giving.
Think in airtight compartments in order to get your work done (by the way, facebook and Twitter are NOT work). Your personal time management measures directly your productivity.
And when the work is done, the value created, then plug out and quit working. Dedicate your free time to your family, your hobby, your animals, whatever it is you love to do. Enjoy a piece of life’s cake.
And rest afterwards, get your sleep in order to plug in again with energy the next morning.
In my next hub I will give you tips and tools for stress release and personal wellness.

This is great! Time management is so key to all facets of our lives. We all waste so much valuable time on our cell phones, emails, allowing people to walk into our offices at any time and waste our time these are all killers of productivity.
As you mentioned, learning how to use the tools available to us helps us makes those extra hours in our lives a reality, without extending the day.
Check the emails, use your cell phone, and open your office door at the end of the day, when all work is done.
