Do You Use A Headline Analyzer ?

How to write good titles

A very recommendable tool for all copywriters, article marketers - online marketers en general

In all of my articles about how to write good quality content articles you will find the emphasis on a good title in order to attract your target market. I recommend keyword research and the typical “How to”, “10 tips”, “10 Ways To” titles.

In this article I will recommend the headline analyser from the Advanced Marketing Institute .A headline analyzer detects the Emotional Marketing Value of your article. Every marketing training course teaches the importance to reach your target market by touching people’s emotions. The headline analyzer scores the Emotional Marketing Value (EMV) of your title and it divides this percentage into three emotional impacts:

1. The Intellectual Impact

Words which are especially effective when offering products and services that require reasoning or careful evaluation.

2. The Empathetic Impact

Words which resonate with empathetic impact often bring out profound and strong positive emotional reactions in people.

3. The Spritual Impact

Words which have the strongest potential for influence and often appeal to people at a very deep emotional level.

The idea is to keep your title balanced between the three. You might want to evaluate as well which one might be the most important one for your niche market. The normal score is between 30% and 40%, good copywriters reach between 50% and 75%.

Try it and copy the titles of your articles into the free headline analyser and find out your EMV score. And then have a look at your statistics.

I did it with my ezine article titles and the scores are between 45% and 65% with an EMV mostly in the intellectual to empathetic impact.

Brilliant, thank you. I never dreamed that such a tool existed. I have always instictively relied on a mixture of guesswork and instinct. This is something which will help me.

Hi Peter, yes the headline analyzer is a good tool. But check your articles + titles also with the Google Adwords Keyword Tool (it is free, make a Google Search), keywords are very important in order to be found by the search engines.
